Thank you for visiting my website. I am Khoa Nguyen, or Tony, and I am an incoming Master student in International Affairs at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, with a full-ride scholarship from the Li Ka Shing Foundation.

My research interests focus on international politics and regional security in Northeast and Southeast Asia, with particular attention to ASEAN and Taiwan. I engage in both narrow and widened security, encompassing not only military but also economic, human, and political security. Beyond that, my work draws on constructivist and critical approaches, exploring areas of Global IR and the ontology of quasi-states such as Taiwan.

I have received two major grants for research: one from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, in 2025 through the IRIS@NUS program, and another from the National Science and Technology Council of Taiwan between 2025 and 2026. These projects are poised for publication upon completion.

I have also worked in various think tanks, government offices, and research projects, with a varied focus ranging from national security and economic security to human security and cultural diffusion.
